silver apples and sunspots

sundays sometimes shimmer
enchanted azure
adorned in rays
after noon’s zenith
the zephyrs
anticipating the plummeting arc
to capture beams
adoring rays
seizure
ceasing the mercurial
hastening
time flies when we chase the sunspots
radiant
sundays sometimes shadow
enchantment of
silver apples
and warm winds worship
wordless apogee
hurtling to
ceaseless
cyclical seizure
i held the shimmering sun
for some time that day
eyes full of silver apples
and enchanted

______

“from the first star until dawn”
waiting for the perfect moment
the one
refused and scorned
so many moments apart
ashes aloft
and wisps of light
tendrils of glass
scattered and brushed aside
just one more moment
just one moment longer
cringing at the sudden sound
forsaking and forgiving
forgotten
the slightest star circles the sky
and submerges
at the perfect moment
always the last place we look
forgotten
and found
forced ashore
at the first light
the smallest shining star circles the sea
and
suppresses
the final moment
when
we
wandered
beneath the
forgotten ruins of the sky
fireflies dancing in the ashes
at our feet
from the first star until dawn

anemic

will wonders never cease
diminishing breaths upon release
while the irises shrivel
and struggle
far beneath
frozen
anemic
earthen
heath
will ceaseless wonders ever reach
my clutching mirrored briar wreath
upon the ochre brazen leaf
seabirdfeather
pinioned
teeth
will night mare rearing
ever leach
the sapping sorrowriven beach
foaming
rabid
sultry
screech
the oceanic tide
has much to teach
and wonderment
can never reach
the iris deep beneath
the frostheave bursting
from
each
stillborn seashell
barren beach

______

elliptical
evening accelerates
and nauseous narrow-
fingered fates
weave perpendicular
and poisoned straits
the current cuts
and closes
over
the summer fields
of browning clover
could the twilight hope
to hover
with
serpent-winged lover
hieroglyphic
apocalyptic
evening of another
when you wish upon a star
the life you cherish spinning far
alone above the pulsing
eye
of love’s last treasurelessgoodbye
does not matter
who you are
twilight falls from
star
to
star
